Pollyena is a multi disciplinary sound artist and educator with roots in the tradition of the symphonic wind band, her practice today is diverse and explores classical, jazz, rock, punk, noise, ambient, shoegaze and more. While Pollyena's musical practice is varied, she feels most at home in the realm of the avant-garde and free improvisation.

With a bachelor's degree in music education from Florida State University, Pollyena is versed in a variety of instrumental pedagical practices and prefers one that centers the artist inside of the student. Regardless of the nature of your lessons with Pollyena she hopes you always feel respected in your own legitimacy as an artist.
